apibrėžtis Pirmoji tarptautinė sporto federacija, vienijanti nacionalines gimnastikos federacijas, plėtojanti vyrų ir moterų sportinę ir meninę gimnastiką, sportinę aerobiką, akrobatiką, šuolius ant batuto pasaulyje. Įkurta 1881 m. Oficialiosios kalbos – prancūzų, vokiečių, anglų, rusų, ispanų. Aukščiausieji organai – taryba (šaukiama kasmet) ir kongresas (šaukiamas kas 2 metai). 2000 m. vienijo 124 šalių gimnastikos federacijas.
